Alice Cannington
A longtime resident of L.A.’s Westside, Alice Cannington loves getting to know her clients on a personal level and works tirelessly to find them the perfect home. Honest, approachable and level-headed, she brings a reputation for patience, persistence, and excellent negotiating skills to The Agency. Working alongside her longtime friend and colleague Malyn Dahlin, Alice is passionate about helping her clients achieve their real estate goals in the city she knows and loves. Alice and Malyn each bring a strong and varied skill set to real estate that perfectly complements the other, enabling them to close incredible deals while making the transaction process a fun and enjoyable experience for their clients. Both are known for their exceptional work ethic and pride themselves on providing white-glove service to each and every client. Before her career in real estate, Alice ran a small property management company while raising three children and was instrumental in building out a successful Westside plumbing business with her husband Drew. Alice’s firsthand knowledge of plumbing, new builds and remodels certainly lends itself well to real estate. Raising her family in the Mar Vista and Venice area has provided Alice with invaluable, first-hand knowledge of local neighborhoods and schools that she passes on to her clients. Her large network allows her to help buyers tap into the right community and narrow down their search from the get-go. Whether it’s a hip restaurant, the best surf spots or pre-school tours, Alice has the local knowledge buyers need to feel at home. A first-generation American originally from England, Alice lived all over the world as a child, including Central America, Africa, Pakistan and Europe, giving her a global perspective and humble mindset. She and her family moved to Santa Monica when she was in middle school, and she has since built a strong community on the Westside. When she’s not representing clients in real estate, Alice loves spending time at the beach with her family, watching her kids’ sports games, visiting their surf shack in Baja, frequenting the local farmers market and hosting weekend barbecues with her extended family.
Malyn Dahlin
Known for her outgoing personality, excellent communication and unwavering commitment to her clients, Malyn Dahlin knows how to navigate stressful situations and bring positivity to the most challenging circumstances. Working alongside her longtime friend and colleague Alice Cannington, Malyn loves traversing the city in search of the perfect homes for her clients. Together, Malyn and Alice bring a strong and varied skill set to real estate that perfectly complements the other, enabling them to close incredible deals while making the transaction process a fun and enjoyable experience for their clients. The pair has a penchant for putting their clients at ease so they can truly open up about their wants and needs and feel comfortable every step of the way. Both are known for their exceptional work ethic and pride themselves on providing white-glove service for each and every client, personally managing each of their listings and establishing relationships that long outlast the close of escrow. A graduate of L.A.’s Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with a degree in Visual Communications, prior to her career in real estate, Malyn worked as a personal stylist and designer, eventually creating her own clothing line. As the mom of three young boys, real estate gave her the flexibility she needed while fostering her entrepreneurial spirit and keen eye for quality, style, and design. Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Malyn is married to a fourth-generation Venice local and has been immersed in the community for the past 15 years. Her involvement has proven invaluable to her clients, as she loves learning about local hotspots and happenings and sharing that knowledge with others. When she’s not representing buyers and sellers in real estate, Malyn loves spending time with her husband and kids, watching her boys surf, going camping, and visiting their little Mexico beach cottage for the weekend. Malyn and her husband are often at North Venice Little League, cheering on their kids’ teams, eating burgers and hanging with the locals. An avid runner, Malyn regularly participates in 10K races in Santa Monica.
